Richard's Life Verse: "Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us" (Ephesians 3:20).
A book that Richard is presently reading: "Personal Declension and Revival of Religion in the Soul," by Octavius Winslow. "A very insightful book on the causes of backsliding."
What Richard loves about the ministry: "Using my creativity and training in life's highest calling."

Pastor Richard 3

Pastor Robinson’s ministry at Northside began immediately upon his graduation from Massillon Baptist College in May of 1980. He worked under his father, Dr. Mickey Robinson, until 1987, at which time he accepted a pastorate in Cleveland, Ohio. He returned to Northside in May of ‘93 to briefly co-pastor with his father, and two years later became Senior Pastor. Richard continued his education, earning Master of Ministry and Doctor of Sacred Theology degrees from Covington Theological Seminary.

Pastor Robinson finds his greatest fulfillment in presenting God’s Word, first from the pulpit, and second, in printed form. Along with a steady preaching schedule, he writes for
The Quiet Hour and Devotions Magazine, both national publications. He is also the radio teacher of Holy Ground, which airs evenings, Monday through Friday from 6:15-6:30 on AM 670 KLTT.

Pastor Richard also enjoys participating in the music program of the church. He sings in the choir and occasionally with various groups, as well as plays the trombone in the church band. For many years he sang in
The Higher Ground Quartet, which recorded several albums over the years.
